Privacy

This policy explains what ojind.dev collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The site is a static portfolio operated by Oubigee Jones from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.

There are no accounts, no payments, and no newsletter.

What we collect and why

We collect four things, and only when you interact with the site.

  • Contact form. When you submit the form on /contacts/, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this to reply to you.
  • Server access logs. Cloudflare records your IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamp when you load a page. This keeps the site online and protects it from abuse.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare’s cookieless, privacy-first analytics to count aggregate page views, referrers, and country-level geography. It sets no cookies, assigns no visitor ID, and does not fingerprint your device. We cannot identify individual visitors from this data.
  • Google Fonts request logs. The site loads fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. We do not control those logs.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form submissions: 12 months after our last reply, then deleted.
  • Cloudflare access logs: retained per Cloudflare’s standard retention windows for their service tier.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: aggregate counters only; raw request records are retained per Cloudflare’s standard analytics retention and are not linked to individual visitors.
  • Google Fonts logs: controlled by Google, not by us.

Who we share it with

We use three processors to run the site. Data Processing Addenda are in place where applicable.

  • formsubmit.co receives your contact form submission and forwards it to the operator email.
  • Cloudflare hosts the static assets, serves the CDN, provides TLS, and runs the cookieless Web Analytics beacon.
  • Google delivers the web fonts.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone outside this list.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR give you the following rights:

  • Access (Article 15)
  • Rectification (Article 16)
  • Erasure (Article 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Article 18)
  • Data portability (Article 20)
  • Objection (Article 21)
  • Rights related to automated decision-making (Article 22)

You can also withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we already did lawfully. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

Lawful basis

We rely on Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for contact form submissions. You give that consent by submitting the form.

Cookies and similar tech

We do not set any first-party cookies on this site.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless by design. It does not set any cookie, does not use localStorage, and does not assign a visitor identifier.

Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm cookie for bot management. It lasts about 30 minutes and relies on Cloudflare’s legitimate interest in protecting the site from automated abuse. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

International transfers

Your IP address and request metadata reach Cloudflare in the United States and Google in the United States when you visit the site. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with these processors to protect that data.

Security

  • TLS 1.3 is required for every request.
  • HSTS is enabled, so browsers refuse to connect over plain HTTP.
  • The origin is a static site. No personal data is stored at rest on our infrastructure.
  • Our upstream processors maintain PCI DSS and SOC 2 attestations as applicable.

Data breach notification

If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify affected users without undue delay.

Where the GDPR applies, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.

How to reach us

  • Email: privacy@ojind.dev (preferred)
  • Or use the form on /contacts/

We aim to respond within 30 days.
